夏季出汗过多是要滋补阳气的原因之一。汗水是体内阳气蒸发而来的物质。因此,流汗过多会导致阳气的过度散发和阳气不足。基于上述原因,夏季需要出汗,但要避免过量,以免阴阳失衡。

 

Nourishing yang in summer should take sweat into consideration. Sweat is the resultant product of yang qi evaporating body fluids. Consequently, too much sweat loss would lead to excessive spreading of yang qi and give rise to yang deficiency. For the above reasons, in summer it is necessary to sweat to diffuse heat, but too much sweating should be avoided in fear of impairment to yin and yang.
