Jinjuan Yao, MD, PhD Assistant Attending Pathologist Molecular Diagnostics Service Department of Pathology Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) New York, NY. USA
Dr. Yao earned her MD from Shanxi Medical University and Ph.D from Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Hospital. After 7 years of postdoctoral training at MSKCC, She completed 4 years of pathology residency at SUNY Downstate then 2 year of fellowship trainings at MSKCC. She is board certified in anatomic & clinical pathology, molecular pathology, and hematopathology. As a full time molecular pathologist, Dr. Yao has been working at MSKCC for more than 3 years, focusing on the large scale prospective clinical genotyping efforts based on a variety of NGS technologies, especially MSK-IMPACT, the first tumor-profiling LDT to receive authorization through the FDA. To date, Dr. Yao has reviewed the genetic profiling of more than 10,000 of solid tumors and hematologic malignancies. She is very experienced and knowledgeable in all the aspects of application of broad panel NGS sequencing in clinical setting, for the purpose of diagnosis, targeted therapy and prognosis. She is also an active member of laboratory quality assurance committee at MSKCC and CAP lab credential program. Dr. Yao has presented at multiple meetings and given courses to improve molecular pathology laboratory practice and operating in China since 2015.
