There was a small school near Grug's home.
在瓜哥家的附近有一个小学校。
Early one morning Grug went to take a closer look.
一天早上瓜哥想去学校仔细看看。
He peered through an open doorway.
他透过一扇敞开的门往里看。
No one was inside.
里面一个人都没有。
He tip-toed down the hall-past some schoolbags.
他踮起脚尖穿过走廊，跨过一些书包。
The big chair at the front of the classroom was too high for Grug.
教室里的大椅子对于瓜哥来说真是太高了。
But one of the little chairs was just the right size.
但有一个小椅子瓜哥坐着正好。
He counted five pencils in a pencil case.
他在一个铅笔盒里数出五支铅笔。
On the big desk he found a stamp.
在一个大桌子上他还发现了一个印章。
It made a picture on Grug's hand.
瓜哥拿印章在自己手上印出了一个笑脸。
Grug wrote on the blackboard.
他在黑板上写道。
Grug was here.
“瓜哥到此一游”。
Then he found some books to read.
然后他发现了一些感兴趣的书。
One of them was very exciting!

Suddenly a bell rang and Grug knew it was time for him to go.
突然铃响了，瓜哥知道该离开了。
He hurried away towards home...
他匆忙地往家跑……
...to finish his homework.
